How many treatments will I need to reduce my pigmentation?
You only need one office visit to begin the Cosmelan process. Our practioners will cleanse the surface of your skin, eliminating dead cells and oily residues. Then they’ll apply a special mask to cover the surface of the skin. Afterwards, you’ll need to follow up by applying cream for a period of at least 6 months.
Will results be long lasting?
Most patients experience results that last six months or longer, but you experience may vary depending on your skin type and preexisting conditions.
Is there any down time?
Not at all, although we do recommend avoiding heavy sun exposure for the first few weeks after your treatment.
Can Cosmelan remove moles?
Unfortunately, Cosmelan cannot be used to remove moles, as their pigmentation would recur nearly immediately. However, there are several treatments at Skin Perfect Medical that can be used to reduce the appearance of these.
